Overview
Gen V is a spin-off of The Boys, focusing on the first generation of superheroes who are aware that they got their powers through Compound V and attend the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting. Lead character, Marie Moreau, has a tragic past resulting from her own powers and, within the first episode, she becomes embroiled in the secrets of the university.
Gen V has the same satirical, outlandish and violent tone throughout the episodes as The Boys, though, by focusing on superheroes in their teens, it also explores aspects of the indoctrination, how superheroes become the self-interested and self-serving villains showcased in The Boys, and what happens to potential superheroes who don't have useful powers or who fail to toe the line.
