GateWorld is a popular Stargate fan website. Site content includes news, interviews, podcasts, a forum, a wiki-like encyclopedia (although not publicly editable), and galleries of official images and fanart.

History

The site was initially created with the name "STARGUIDE" by Darren Sumner, a Chicago fan. STARGUIDE was inspired by other fansites such as The Lurker's Guide to Babylon 5, TrekWeb, and TrekToday. It later was moved to "SciFiGuide.net" and Darren added episode guides for Farscape, Babylon 5, Andromeda, and Star Trek.[1]

In 2003, GateWorld began publishing a reference guide section called The Stargate Omnipedia. This uses MediaWiki software, but unlike many fan wikis, is not editable by the public. However, fans can make suggestions for its content.

Stargate Atlantis Episode Transcripts

A key feature of the Gateworld site is the episode transcripts made by a fan, Callie Sullivan. In 2020-2021, all of these pages were saved to the Wayback machine, in case the Gateworld site ever becomes inaccessible. From the main Atlantis link (https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://www.gateworld.net/atlantis/) each season can be accessed, and the transcripts are linked under each episode. Note that all other links relating to the episodes haven't necessarily been saved, just the transcripts.

Two episodes had no Gateworld transcript. For 'Sanctuary' and 'The Brotherhood', see the Stargate Wiki transcripts for those episodes.
