"Go For It, Nakamura!" (original Japanese title: "Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!") is a Boys' Love Japanese manga written and illustrated by Syundei. It was originally serialized in the magazine Opera and gained popularity for its sweet, funny, and heartwarming story.

Canon

The story revolves around Nakamura Okuto, a shy and socially awkward high school boy who is secretly in love with his classmate Hirose Aiki. Nakamura has a hard time even talking to Hirose because of his introverted nature and lack of social skills. Despite his struggles, Nakamura is determined to get closer to Hirose and confess his feelings, but things don't always go as planned. In August 2024, an anime series was announced.

Fandom

Fans like this manga for the relatable protagonist and light-hearted, humorous, wholesome romance. Many appreciate the old-fashioned drawing style with noticeable influences by Takahashi Rumiko, author of Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha, both in the expressions and situations.

In 2021, a meme featuring the cover of the Go for It, Nakamura! manga gained popularity, with fans replacing the original characters with characters from their favourite ships from other series.
