Gallifreyan is a fictional language spoken by Gallifreyans (including The Doctor and The Master) in the Doctor Who universe.

Canon

The ancient language of the Time Lords is Old High Gallifreyan, which sounded musical and included tenses to account for time travel. Canon visuals of the language often incorporate real-world mathematical formulas and Greek letters, using an alphabet called the omegabet.

The Doctor speaks Modern Gallifreyan, which uses a different script but still carries some traits of the omegabet.

Circular Gallifreyan is a writing system involving interlocking circles, as well as lines and other shapes. It is seen frequently in the TARDIS's display.

Fandom

Many Gallifreyan scripts, pronunciations, and more have been created and proposed by Doctor Who fans. An expansive list can be found at The Gallifreyan Archive, which includes both circular and linear written forms and even some spoken conlangs.

Sherman's Circular Gallifreyan

The best-known fanmade Gallifreyan was made by Loren Sherman in Summer 2011.[1] It was in part based on Bettenbender's Gallifreyan.
