Future Pluperfect is an X-Men Comicverse story by Domenika Marzione. It was one of her first X-Men fics and was nominated for several awards. The story involves original character Mirrin, a time-traveller from Cable's future, who recruits Gambit from his abandonment in Antarctica to help her in preventing a dark threat from the future.
The story is told in 32 chapters and was completed some time in 2002.
Fan Reaction
Domenika is one of the comicverse authors capable of thinking in epic plotarcs, and this story (still unfinished at twenty-seven chapters) definitely qualifies as "epic." It is complex, and does require some familiarity with the X-Men Universe, but it's worth the investment of time, particularly to anyone who likes the Summers family.[1]
