Futari Wa Precure Splash Star ran from 2006 to 2007, and was part of the second generation of Precure. It ran for 49 episodes. This season's motif is nature, specifically, the Japanese saying "Kachou Fuugetsu" (which translates to flower, bird, wind, and moon, meaning, "experience the beauty of nature, learn about yourself").

Shipping in Futari Wa Precure Splash Star is dominated by yuri-ships. This is due to the existence of two all female duos in the show. The main ship in fandom, is Cure Bloom/Cure Windy, which may be considered similar to another Precure ship, Cure Black/Cure White, due to the similarities in character designs.
The other prominent ship in the show is Michiru/Kaoru, however it is not as well liked as Cure Bloom/Cure Windy.
