Furet is a long-time furry from Texas who was born in the late 60s. He was the editor for The Dallas Brawl, a 1990s amateur press association, taking the position in 2003 after the zine transferred from Laughing Coyote Press to Jarlidium.[1] He is also known for the furry comic 1 Lap Down. Furet was a frequenter of furry conventions, such as Anthrocon and Mephit Fur Meet, according to his Furaffinity profile. Furet was a frequent player of Furcadia under the name Furet, and hosted a website, called Ferret's Den of Insanity, under the Purrsia domain where he shared 1 Lap Down and other furry's comics.[2]
He passed away in 2014 after a stroke, and his Furaffinity comment section serves as a memorial with many artists remembering him and his loss.

The Dallas Brawl
Ok, some serious trouble has come up with a friend who was helping me with mailing. Put simply, he wasn't sending half of anything, and none of others. It was quite random, and as it turns out most of his excuses held no water upon looking into it. *I* am resuming shipping and handling and am going back to Aug/Sep when I first let him do things. He's gone. I will repring everything for everyone....and have 'reset' the accounts back to last Aug, and will start all accounts in May from there, no cost for any of the back work nor shipping will be deducted. : )On a lighter note, welcome Miss Mab of DMFA as our newest player and Wildy-San of Furcadia as the new Editor of the DBU. 1 Lap Down and Other Comics
1 Lap Down (1LD) was a short strip comic Furet started in 2003 and ended in 2008 after 14 pages. It was about furry racers.[5]
Furet also made many one-off comic pages shared on his Furaffinity, many which use the political cartoon or "funny animal" newspaper cartoon style common of early furry fandom. Some of the other multi-page comics created by Furet is Software Wars and Bandit.[6][7] Additionally, his short comic Intergalactic Nuisance Service (INS) was created for the Cross Time Cafe webcomic series.[8]
