Anthrocon is an annual furry convention held in Pittsburgh, PA in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.[1] It was originally held in Albany, NY as the Albany Anthrocon, and moved to Pennsylvania in 1999.
Anthrocon began as Albany Anthrocon in 1997, and since then has grown into one of the largest anthropomorphics conventions in the world with a membership in 2022 of over 9,700 attendees and over $450,000 raised for various charities. All of the finer aspects of anthropomorphic, or more commonly, "Furry" fandom, are celebrated here.
Trivia
- 2023's Anthrocon attracted 13,644 attendees, making it the 2nd largest furry convention, only losing out to Midwest FurFest later that year.[2][3]
