Saving my personal favorite for last. I’ve read this probably twenty times, and listened to the audiobook at least a dozen. John realizes Rodney is part of a queer network on Atlantis, and it throws him for a loop. John’s desperation, Rodney’s careful protection of the community, the way the community pulls together to protect itself, it’s all perfect. This is one of those stories I remember reading back in ‘08 or ‘09 and loving, and when I think hey, what was that story where… it’s Friendly about half the time. [1]
