Frienditto was a short-lived website for archiving posts from LiveJournal. It caused controversy because it allowed the anonymous archiving of friendslocked posts, making them publicly viewable.
The site was associated with Encyclopedia Dramatica and LJDrama. jameth acknowledged "being connected directly to those behind the development of Frienditto".[1] girlvinyl stated that she "did not write frienditto, although [she] did make the simple graphics and it was hosted on the same server that now hosts ljdrama".[2] The connection to these sites was a main reason many LiveJournal users called out Frienditto as being untrustworthy.
JournalFen blocked Frienditto from pulling content from the site and prohibited linking or "pointing to areas on frienditto that contain stolen content". The admins specifically instructed fandom_wank: "no wank when the source is frienditto".[3]
