The Catherine Chandler Trilogy

[There was to be a second trilogy, one which never saw fruition]: 'Shadow War' will be the first volume of the 'Tunnel World Trilogy' and is planned for a March 1992. This novel will pick up from where the 'Catherine Chandler Trilogy' ended... other volumes in the series will be entitled: 'Charon's Messenger' and 'From the Ashes'. [1]

The Zine's Foreword

This novel is the first of the "Catherine Chandler Trilogy", a three-volume set which contains three separate and distinct stories, but which blend together into a single work whose focus is Catherine Chandler This book constitutes a complete story, told in its entirety, with no major plotlines left incomplete. Certain pieces of information that are presented in this book will not be divulged until book two in the series, but they are not vital components to this first story.

The second and third portion of this trilogy are scheduled to appear later this year, one in August and the other in November. An order form for them is contained on the next page. An order form for the entire trilogy appears at the back of the book, in case you have a friend who might be interested in this series of novels.

This is a strictly second season novel, my assumption being that Vincent recovered from his delirium in the cave and returned to normal. The third season is ignored entirely, with no third season characters appearing. This novel assumes you are familiar with several first and second season characters and that you have viewed certain episodes. These characters are Devin Wells and Kanin Evans. I assume you have seen both episodes in which Devin Wells appeared, as well as the episode in which Kanin Evans' story was told.

I want to thank my mother Audria for helping me discover Beauty and the Beast and Maureen Highkin and Paula Vitaris for acting as proofreaders and sources of wonderful feedback. Their sharp eyes and wise counsel spared me no small amount of embarrassment. I thank you all.
