This story was nominated in the Cascade Times Awards 2000 for "best bad girl original character" (OFC) for the character of Dr. Stacey Murray, but I hadn't read it when all the voting was going on. I should've. Stacey Murray wasn't really a villain, that's the interesting thing about it. She ends up doing bad things, because she's driven, but not because she's psycho. This was a good story. Jim and Blair are themselves, have their differences, look out for each other, care for each other, and do stupid things. We definitely had a good guest-character in Stacey. The epilogue makes you go (sniff). [1]
