foone is a fan hacker known for her exploits getting Doom to run on a variety of hardware in service of the It runs DOOM meme.

But does it run Doom?

A self-described "hardware/software necromancer," foone has made several "ports" of DOOM. As part of messing around with pregnancy tests that have a digital screen, foone managed to get a video of DOOM to run on a modified one.[1] The next day, foone managed to get it to actually run DOOM on the modified pregnancy test.[2] About a year later, they pasted the DOOM's entire source code into an online form to describe their gender.[3] Then, while waiting for the Google form to accept the input, foone posted the source code to Twitter as PNG images and wrote an extractor for them that allowed the images to be played off of Twitter.

They have also mentioned trying to run DOOM off a vape,[4] posited that you could write a contract that plays DOOM,[5] and posted a picture of a truck with a screen saying they want to steal it to run DOOM.[6] Additionally, foone managed to display a gif of a DOOM speedrun on a BEAM button[note 1] but was unable to program the button to play DOOM.[7]
