Flower Shop AU is a type of alternate universe in which characters work at or own a flower shop.
The similar Flower Shop and Tattoo Parlor AU arose from an unrelated Tumblr post in 2014, but flower shop AUs have existed since long before then. It's possible that the popularity of one has bolstered the other.
Features
Flowershop AUs are typically mundane, although some may incorporate fantasy or scifi elements of canon, or even introduce fantasy elements.
Authors may use various flower language/symbolism in relation to the setting of the fic.
