fic_on_demand was a challenge community in which people could post requests for a short fic in any fandom. Requests continued until 2014, but the last fill was posted to the community in 2010. There were 4,982 entries and 16,237 comments posted to the community since 2004. The fandom with the largest number of fills in the community memories was Gundam Wing, with 320 entries.
The community was affiliated with tausch_fiktion and fic_sur_demande, equivalent communities for German- and French-language ficlets.
