"Reviews, Articles and Shiny Things"

FerretBrain was a UK-based website with multiple contributors posting a variety of articles, opinion pieces, and reviews on pop culture topics, such as books, TV/movies, horror, and SF/F[1].

The articles were known for their snarky, sarcastic style and social justice skew - often calling out racism, homophobia, and similar content. JK Rowling and Joss Whedon appeared as frequent targets of criticism. Discussions often took place in the comments of articles, as well as the "Playpen" section - described as a section for banter and interesting things that weren't long enough to warrant a comment.

It also hosted a podcast, with numerous episodes produced between 2008 and 2013.
