Fate/ is a Japanese multimedia series developed by TYPE-MOON. The series follows various events called Holy Grail Wars that involve Masters, generally accomplished magi, summoning Servants, Heroic Spirits, and battling each other until the last remaining pair can claim the purported Holy Grail. It began with the visual novel, Fate/stay night, and has since gathered a number of prequels, sequels, spinoffs, and adaptations bearing the same "Fate" name.[1] Generally Heroic Spirits and its master hide its true name to take advantage in Holy Grail War. Usually they use class name. So you would better read Fate series carefuly not to be confused, because class name (Saver, Lancer, Archer, Caster, Asassin, Rider, Berserker and more) may index another characters in each Fate work.

Fandom

The first visual novel, Fate/stay night, has never been officially released outside of Japan, however in 2008 a fan translation was released by the group Mirror Moon.

Fanworks

Doujin

TYPE-MOON itself was a small Doujin game studio in begining and is not strict to fandoms nor Doujins. So Fate has a huge doujin community surrounding it and continues to release new doujin's each year. doujinshi.org lists over 7000 titles,[2] however this number does not truly reflect amount of works created as many more are still unlisted. One of an oldest Fate/StayNight Doujin [1]"ミニスカニーソなあんちきしょう"("Rascal in mini skart and knee socks") is personally published in 2004 and aveilable in Surugaya(Japanese second-hand doujin store) even in 2024.
