The fourth issue of FANTASY DIGEST, the sensation of the fantasy world, makes its appearance the first week in April in a new format. For the same low price of a dime, you now receive eighteen largesized hecktographed pages, with the illustrations by Maskwitz that are causing sensations. Two covers, and in envelopes to preserve it, this is a magazine you must buy. Featuring fan material exclusively, it presents each month the finest obtainable.Ad placed in Spaceways #5 pg 23. "Fantasy Digest" also changed from hektograph to mimeograph this year, but, unlike others, the change was for the worse. The first 2 issues from the mimeograph were deplorable as to appearance and in many places impossible to read. In its hektograph format it presented the work of a new fan-artist who showed much promise, but since the change we have not noticed outstanding work from him.The material in the magazine has been of fairly high quality, but it is doubtful if Dikty will be able to put out a successful publication unless the appearance is radically improved. There are too many neat and attractive publications in existence now for any save the more all-embracing fans to continue buying one which is difficult to read and onnatractive [sic] to behold- We hope Dikty will be able to come through.

10 cts., 24 large mimeod pages., Aug.-Sept., 1939 issue.This is easily the best issue to date in everything except the odiferous cover, and poor mimeoing in spots. Shroyer asks "What Is A Fan?". Moskowitz indulges in a little well-directed satire; Sullivan has "Convention Scenes; Harry Warner, Erle Korshak & Larry Farsaci intrigueing "visit" accounts; Kuttners satire is quite good as is most of the material. Includ this on your list of fan mags.
