Reactions and Reviews

1990

This long story was of course the most complex, intricately plotted and imaginative of the entire zine. Well handled, covering a little more than 25 years. Yet never confusing or leaving questions. The love scenes were all perfect, never too drawn out. And not too many or too few. An up beat story and a good read. Chris Soto's illo finished it off just perfectly. [1]

1991

A tale, a legend of the Fallen Star. Our Vulcan having crash landed on the planet very early in life is raised as a prince, rather like Arthur of old. He meets an opposing prince (guess who?) & the rest is more legend. The tale was an excellent read, a must for all. [2]

This story was well-plotted and interesting. I was struck by the skillful way Ms. Bush managed to give us what seemed to be a completely A/U story an still have it end with K & S on a starship. I also like the fact that, even after our heroes "found" each other and fell deeply in love, they each faced their other responsibilities and parted with an uncertain future facing them. This story never felt rushed or hurried and I really felt I knew the characters and understood their desires and needs. [3]

1992

Spock, heir of the Vulcan Emperor, is stranded as a newborn on an uncharted planet. People think the "Fallen Star" (Spock) is a god from heaven. Some day he meets a prince from a faraway country, who travels undercover. Of course, they fall in love.... I generally love these a/u stories because each plot is new and refreshing — when the author has good ideas and the talent to write.... And A.T. Bush has such talent and some very good ideas!!! Every page is interesting. There is action and so much love! A wonderful story! [4]
