Another definition: "For those who don't know, "sercon" stands for serious-constructive and "faanish" implies fun for the hell of it." [1]
Fancyclopedia definition:
a fan with a keen or analytical interest in the doings of fans and fandom, in fannish culture, fanhistory and fanzines, fans of fandom, if you will. Thus faan fiction is fan-written fiction about real or imaginary fans, and the FAAn Awards given out at Corflu reward fine fanzines and their creators and contributors.[2]
Stilyagi Air Corps definition:
Should sound like the bleating of sheep. Someone who talks about fannish politics and gossip to the exclusion of SF itself.[3]
