It's a teenage AU. The best way I can describe this story and what I liked about it is to say that it read like the best teenage Queer as Folk UK fic. The dynamic between Rodney and John is different than between Stuart and Vince, of course, but it's the right mix of funny and exploratory and sad.[1]
