Excelsior is a multifandom zine.
It was planned as bi-monthly.
From the zine: "This is not illegal to do because no profit is being made. This is a fanzine by fans for fans."
Issue 1
Excelsior 1 was published in summer 1976 and contains 20 pages.
All of the art is by Lloyd Lawrence.
From the editorial:
Our next issue will feature the Six Million Dollar Man (Yes, an article or so is needed). Also the premiere of a new writer (get a load of this pen-name: The 'Intersteller Raider). Other issues depend on viewer feedback. What do you want? Space: l999? Spider-Man? Howard the Duck?
I have decided no subscriptions. I don't want this to bomb, and have all that money to return. Or, if publication becomes irregular, I don't want to upset anyone. I liked, to be liked.
I will run ads (most likely in The Buyers Guide) for future issues.
Well, enough of me. There is a great fanzine waiting for you, and I know your [sic] going to enjoy it.
