Esmé Gigi Genevieve Squalor is one of the main antagonists in A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Canon Background
Esmé is first introduced in The Ersatz Elevator, when she and her husband Jerome Squalor become the Baudelaire orphans' guardians. She's very rich due to being the city's sixth most important financial advisor. Her primary goal is finding the sugar bowl that has been stolen from her a long time ago, and she works together with Count Olaf in order to reach that goal.
