Escapism was a directory and clique of sorts for fanfic of multiple pop/rock bands and boy bands. Authors who were included in the directory could post a banner on their website. The site's owner posted monthly featured stories, advertised new stories and events (such as awards) and hosted a top 25 fanfics chart that the general public could submit their stories to and vote on.
