Enemy of My Enemy is a 356-page gen Star Trek: VOY novel by Katherine Tate, Vicki James and Sheena McDonald. The cover is by Hitoshi Kudo.
Summary from the publisher: "Find out what would have happened if Chakotay's Maquis ship hadn't been destroyed and the two crews hadn't combined but fought together as two separate forces."
EOME is a series of Voyager stories written between 1997 and 1998. Given that there is no name in canon for the Maquis ship, this series calls it "Fides," which is Latin for "Faith."
Reactions and Reviews
The other one which I did misquote is Enemy of My Enemy and is based upon the premise that Chakotay never crashed his ship at the end of Caretaker and the whole series, about 18 instalments I think, centres around the two crews working together on the way home, starting from a basis of mistrust and misunderstanding to its ultimate conclusion. For all J/Cers out there, there is a lovely part in the cargo bay!!! This has been so cleverly written, writing in alot of what we have seen on screen and blending it with fiction. The characters are so alive and so believable that it is another one that I ache to see acted for real. Gave me a real crick in the neck, because I didnt want to stop reading![1]
