Emily Dickinson/Sue Gilbert is a canonical femslash pairing in the Dickinson fandom. Their canon relationship in the show seems to have been inspired in a large part by the letters Emily Dickson sent to Sue Gilbert when she was alive which many say are undeniably love letters[1].
