This is the funniest fanfic I've ever read. I read it months ago and it still cracks me up. Sometimes I'm sitting in my car and an image from this story will pop into my head, usually Chakotay dropping her coffin down 5 decks (that was bad...), and I'll be laughing like a fool, all alone in my car... She wrote it about the time that there were rumors circulating that KM wanted to leave the show and be killed off, and it was just a delightful way to put it all into perspective. Chakotay sobbing and carting around that coffin and propping it up in the briefing room and in the mess hall - WONDERFUL! [2]
This is the funniest damn fanfic I have read. Ever. Full Stop. It spawned the spate of 'Janeway-In-A-Box' stories, and should win something for that alone. Kim has the most wonderful ability to make the morbid funny, and the image of Chakotay lugging around Janeway's coffin is evidence of that. Three cheers for Earth Angel! [3]
I just read the repost. Sick. Sick, sick, sick, sick, sick. Not to mention truly inspired. The rating ("Bad Taste") pretty much says it all. Having the entire story from Paris' POV was a nice touch, and I liked the way the author delicately side-stepped just how gnarly-looking the Captain is likely to be at this point (Can anybody say, "Bates Hotel?"). I definitely give it an "Oh, God! Mother!" [4]
Earth Angel is the first story that I have read of SrMaryKath, and it opened up a whole realm of Trek humour that I couldn’t have imagined. Every word in this story is loaded, every sentence an unexpected hilarity. I don’t know what I found funnier – the idea of Harry Kim constantly trying to revive Kathryn, or the doctor continually sedating Chakotay. This is SrMaryKath humour at it’s finest, and I sincerely hope that it wins an award. [5]
One of the funniest stories I've yet to read. The dangdest part being that despite all the totally *outrageous* events depicted in this story (and in the prequels it inspired!) everyone is *totally* in character!!! Well, except perhaps for poor Janeway. Poor, dear, departed, Janeway, that is... [6]
