Dude, That's My Ghost! (French: Mon Pote le fantôme) is a French-British cartoon series created by Jan Van Rijsselberge. It has 52 episodes and was aired on Disney XD in 2013. The plot circles around 14-year-old Spencer Wright whose best friend is his distant relative, pop star Billy Joe Cobra—or rather, his ghost.
Fandom
The cartoon gained a fandom in 2013 when it started airing, especially on Tumblr which already had many devoted cartoon fandoms and people interested in checking out new cartoons that started airing. The fandom exists in the vicinity of other cartoon fandoms such as Danny Phantom. People create gifsets, fanart and fanfic for the series as is usual for Tumblr. Billy Joe Cobra as a character fit the kind of male characters Tumblr likes, and to some people, he resembled the Once-ler.[1] Not only is his ghost form depicted in art, but portraying him when he was still alive is also popular.
The most popular ship in the fandom is shipping Spencer Wright and Billy Joe Cobra, and the ship is known as Ectofeature.
