It is written, produced, and published by fans of the series (coz we're a devoted lot!) to give nuthin' but pure enjoyment to those who love the show. Honest. Trust me; we're gonna hafta sell the children to pay for this one. And iffen you reproduce whole or any part of this zine, Bubba and the boys will be at your doorstep, ready to take ya in -- wait a minute, that mighten actually be an incentive to do so!
Bootlegging: The Turquoise Star
From issue #2:
This copy should have a turquoise star stamped at the bottom of this page next to my address. If your[s] does not have one, then you have what we call a "bootlegged" copy... meaning someone has photocopied an original, and then sold it to you. Bootlegging hurts me, as I cannot produce these zines at no cost, but it mostly hurts you, because I cannot guarantee the quality you would receive with an original issue. Of course, if yours doesn't have a blue star, it could also mean that I just forgotten to stamp it!!
