The David Soul Appreciation Club (DSAC) was run by a woman in the UK, and had several branches. The German contact was Kirsten, the US contact was Julie Reitz.

At some point, Sylvie became the point person.

Topanga was the mailing list for this club in 1998, before it closed due to a fan's unhappiness with a letter by David Soul that was printed in a late 1997 club newsletter.

The club also had a website: From a November 1996 issue of Black Bean Soup: "Kirsten (German head of the DSAC) has created a web site for the DSAC with references to other sites on the net and lots of info about David Soul as well as Starsky & Hutch and other info. Her site can be found at Merlin-l. Check it out!" [1]

In 1998, "Sylvie of the DSAC (David Soul Appreciation Club) has cut back from 12 issues/year to 6. Basically... lack of input, a feeling that the interest was waning, and a desire to spend time doing some other things.[2]

History

Editor and Head-Office - The Head-Office of the DSAC is based in London. The editor of the DSAC newsletter is Sylvie. The club is authorized by David.

DSAC History - The DSAC was started in Australia, while David was doing 'Blood-Brothers'. The first newsletter was issued in Nov.'94.

Newsletters - We have a newsletter every two months via snail-mail. In the N/L you will find news, reviews and reports (written by our members), ads for penpals - swaps - For Sale - Wanted...
