Social Media and Fan Activities

Harbour has been a vocal supporter of the Hopper/Joyce ship and has tweeted several times about the pairing.[1]

In a 2017 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Harbour discussed becoming active on Twitter and reading Jopper fanfiction while recovering from surgery in 2016:

I just got on Twitter a couple years ago but I never really used it... and then the show came out and it just became an onslaught and I got kind of addicted....

I had to get surgery and I was bedridden for like two months basically... and thank God for Twitter, I have to say, because all I did was like, all day long I like looked at fan art and read fan fiction about like, Hopper and Joyce getting together and the steamy scenes between the two — I was like, this is fantastic! I really loved it, like I love the passion of the fans.

[Interviewer: Give him more, guys!] Please!... Hopper-Joyce making out, I'll read it all day long, I love it.[2]
