Canon
Pre-retcon
Prior to the events of "GAME OVER", Karkat explicitly mentions the two are best-bros.[1]
Post-retcon
It was widely understood that Davekat becomes canon during the Vriskagram as the two are seen cuddling while watching Good Luck Chuck.[2] Both Vriska and Jasprosesprite^2 confirm the two are in a relationship as well.[3][4]
Dubiously canon
Ultimate Dirk in The Homestuck Epilogues declares Davekat canon in the Meat timeline.[5] However, since The Epilogues themselves exist outside of canon, it is unclear how definitive such a declaration can be (or whether it is redundant).
Despite the two not getting together in the Candy timeline, Davekat is referred to twice by name.[6][7]
