Crystal Wall is a Kirk/Spock story by Kathy Tipton.
It was published in the print zine Beside Myself #3.
Summary
"Spock dreams of three Kirks who all die, causing an emotional upheaval that McCoy must help him work out, and Kirk must help him work through."
Reactions and Reviews
This starts off with a bang-a really interesting and exciting paragraph setting up the scene and plot. For me this was the most interesting and best story in the entire zine. I wish it had been fleshed out a little more. It's about 26 pages but in this zine the print is big and there is a lot of white space so I would say it is really closer to 13 pages long in most type. [1]
Best plotted of this zine, until it all turned into a dream. Spock rescues an asphyxiated Kirk from a crystal cage, only to have him fall unconscious in the shuttle, and docks the shuttle on Enterprise only to find himself back outside the crystal cage, another Kirk asphyxiating within. Yet a third Kirk comes on the scene and shoots the other two. Back in reality, we find that McCoy is doing psych-therapy on him. The three all review Spock's dreams and discuss the meanings. All ends well with Kirk and Spock falling into bed together. [2]
