Crystal Heart was a popular fan writer in the Sailor Moon fandom, writing primarily AU "what if" fics. She had been in the fandom for about four years from 1997 to 2001. Her most popular fic was called Masquerade. It was voted #1 on the Usa-Mamo Top 25 stories of '99.[1]
Her website, Storyspinner's Web - Crystal Heart's Web Page, used to be on GeoCities before it was taken down with the rest of the sites there. It can still be found on the Wayback Machine.[2]
Fanfic Listing
- Eternally Yours - This is my first fanfic. It's set in a time when the scouts don't exist, and there was no other enemy after Beryl. It's all about how in the end, even if their lives did take a few turns, the friendships, and the love would remain the same.
- Masquerade - A favorite of many, it is a favorite of mine as well. It doesn't have much to do with the Sailor Moon universe, and only the characters are the same as usual. However, the situation is different; Serena Larynce is the attorney general with a perfect life. She finds that everything is complicated when another person enters the picture, the handsome and arrogant Darien Dredsdale. This is the revision, as I promised, but I have included the "Birthdays" episode in here as well, and that's why it's not up here anymore.
- Guarding Heart - A story of a man and woman falling in love, similar to one of those "prince and princess" stories, only this possesses a strange twist...HEE! This is one of the more serious ones I wrote, and will end up being a long work of fiction. There are a lot of things to be told, for there are lots of things to be done in this story. It'll take a while to write, let's just say that. || Voted #12 in the Usa-Mamo Top 25 Stories of '99. A work in progress that was never finished.
- For Love or Money - Serena Hilton and Darien Calloway were best friends until something happened to sever the ties...and without explanation on either side, they separated. Now the shall meet again... || A work in progress that was never finished.
- Three Words that Mean the World - Serena Diore and her roommate Darien Williams live for driving each other crazy, until Serena turns 28, and thereofre decides to accept her boyfriend's proposal, who is NOT Darien...
- The Reflection of Myself - This is the (more romantic) retelling of the Sailor Moon original series, from Serena's point of view. I have taken my usual course in making Serena smarter, and I DO have a reason to make her look kinda out of it at times. Serena Usagi Tsukino is a regular girl, who grows to be a woman. || A work in progress that was never finished.
- Through the Glass - Serena Arroway has been in love with Darien Annulus for most of her high school life, but never was able to express herself to him before...
- STYLE - Asked to perform her magic, photographer Serena Reece sets out to make the perfect cover girl for STYLE magazine in an elabroate scheme. || A work in progress that was never finished.
- Flower Girl - This is a preview of the upcoming story, and really shows nothing about the plot yet, only the character of Serena. Yet another story of an alternate universe, about a flower shop owner, and her ideals of romance, though they are not what they appear to be at first...but then again, love never IS predictable in the first place!
- Darien's Fall - This is yet another preview, and shows quite a bit of plot and background. Darien Rilthrop and his best friend Serena Manning...don't worry, Darien comes to no bodily harm, the "fall" is figurative! :)
- Letters to Darien - This is a depressing preview. This takes place in the actual story line, in Sailor Moon R when Darien has nightmares and pushes Serena away.
