"Jim Kirk is troubled by something that Spock has done and he has been avoiding the Vulcan and ignoring McCoy's efforts to help. When Spock comes to the doctor for advice, McCoy finds himself drawn into a loving relationship with his two friends."
Reactions and Reviews
CORNERSTONE is the first of several K/S/Mc stories [in this zine]. This is a post REQUIEM FOR METHUSELAH story and deals with both Kirk's and Spock's confusion and feelings of betrayed and betrayer. Of course, McCoy is needed to explain things to our two confused boys... only to become confused himself when he and Kirk try to wake Spock from a nightmare. This is a a warm story if a bit contrived, and I found the ending a bit of a cop-out. This story feels like a 'menage' story that didn't want to be a 'menage' story. But it turned out well. [1]
(12 pages) - After Spock dampened Kirk's memory of Rayna and then confessed it to Kirk, he feels Kirk avoids him. McCoy urges Kirk to go to Spock and clear things up. However, it doesn't quite evolve as expected...Nice story with a very hetero McCoy, who finally gives in to the double pleas ;) [2]
