The Comic Festival was a UK comic convention that took place in Bristol from 1999 to 2004. The first convention was called "Comics99" and was conceived as a way to bring comics to a more mainstream audience following the decline of UK comics fandom and the end of the United Kingdom Comic Art Convention in 1998[1].
