Color of Love is a Hanson fanfic written by Rebekah. It was written in 2009 and 2010, and is set in an alternate universe in which Zac is a college student. The story centers around his relationship with a woman of color and the strife this causes within his family, who are not all willing to accept the relationship. By the end of the story, the brothers are starting to experience some success with their music.
A sequel, Color of Truth, was announced but has not been published.[1]
Reactions and Reviews
The story alternates point of view with each chapter, which can be hard to pull off. Rebekah managed it perfectly, though; Zac and Hope both come across as their own distinct characters. Hope is sassy and sarcastic, and Zac is adorable and a little bit poetic. They compliment each other really well.[2]
I don’t normally like fluffy stories but I feel this had just the right amount of fluff though and the right amount of drama though the last main hurdle at the end I wish didn’t happen but I think it added on to prove just how much Hope and Zac love each other and I was satisfied that in the end their love won through all the obstacles they had to endure.I just wish Rebekah had written longer chapters so I could have more of Zac and Hope because I really think I came to love them way too much.[3]
