As someone whose name I don't remember once pointed out, the whole point of vidding is synesthesia, putting sound and movement and color and lyrics and context all together into one glorious whole. I love it for this reason, but sometimes it's just too much. When I first downloaded this vid, I wasn't able to watch it all the way through; the effect was just that overwhelming. Even now, watching it straight through is sometimes a bit too intense, like eating very dark chocolate. Flashes of imagery, flashes back, flashes forward, just like seeing into someone's jumbled memories, and the wonderful jerkiness of BSG's camera work. No doubt I will have plenty of time to come to terms with it while on my desert island. Also, I just adore the song.
