City of Light: An Unofficial Illustrated Concordance of Marielda is a for-charity fanzine centered on the Marielda arc of the actual-play podcast Friends at the Table. In total, as a result of the zine's initial campaign,[1] $11,544 USD was donated to the charity Avenues for Homeless Youth.[2]
Timeline
Submissions for the project opened from May 26, 2017 to June 16, 2017,[3] with acceptance notifications all sent out by June 22, 2017.[4]
The donation campaign ran from August 17, 2017 to September 17, 2017,[5] running on the platform Generosity.[6] Different tiers of donation were available for zine PDFs, print zines, and art commissions.[7] PDFs went out to all backers who donated $10+ USD.[8]
On November 10, 2017, the physical zines were received by the mods and were shipped out soon afterwards.[9]
Like It's a Garden and several other Friends at the Table zines, City of Light was included in an itch bundle put out June 5, 2020 by the cast of Friends at the Table to fundraise for non-profits working towards justice and equality.[10]
