Citizen Fan is a 2014 French documentary about fan culture, particularly fanfiction, fanzines, vidding, and cosplay. It focuses on different fandoms, including Harry Potter, Castle, My Little Pony and Teen Wolf.

Citizen Fan has two parts : one thematic approach and one series of interviews of participants, which digs deeper into different fan cultures (such as fanfiction, vidding or cosplay). All videos have English subtitles.

Critics

Henry Jenkins said that the documentary "may just be the best documentary about fan culture that [he has] ever seen"[2], in a post about french fan culture.
