Cipher Hunt (also spelled CipherHunt or Cipherhunt) was an "international scavenger hunt" about the Disney series Gravity Falls, designed by its creator Alex Hirsch, in which fans deciphered clues to find a statue of Bill Cipher and treasure buried with it. The statue was teased in the very last frames of the series finale.

Event

The scavenger hunt included a mix of digital clues posted online and physical clues hidden around the world. Fans who sought the physical clues often took pictures or video to share the event with fans on the internet.[1]

It began with an image that depicted a treasure map to Bill's statue on Twitter on 20 July 2016.
