Some Excerpts

Fanfic definitely got me started writing. I was always saying, 'I'll write if I get a computer.' Classic diversionary technique. I bought a computer...and stared at that blank screen. I had a story I wanted to tell, but I realized it would be a novel, and I had no idea if I could even write.

I was on the 'net and still not a Phile, but was reading ST:Voyager fic. I started pounding one out. I never finished, but it showed me that writing was easy and rewarding.

I'd ultimitely been frustrated by drawing, photography and film because I couldn't transfer the pictures in my head perfectly. But with writing I found the way...slow learner again.

... for me, fanfic fills in the blanks. After I became an adult and lost 99% of my imagination, my 'stories' became fanfic stories, continuing movies after they ended, filling in scenes of tv shows. The relationship and chemistry between the actors is what brought me to the show and that's what drives me to write stories.

I'd like to see the relationship develop romantically. If I were CC, I would consider this a challenge, to be the first producer to pull off a relationship successfully. Until then, he's just a coward in my book, afraid to take risks. I do have hopes though, because he took some great risks this past season. Although I may not have enjoyed them all, I appreciate that he tried.
