Charlotte/Mia, also commonly known in the fandom as Mialotte, is a canonical femslash pairing in the The Nursery Nurse fandom. Within the TikTok webseries, the pairing — as with all pairing in the canon and fandom — is between two characters played by a single creator, Charlotte.

The pairing arguably became a canonical occurrence after it received a lot of popularity from the fanbase and calls for the pairing to happen were frequent within the comments sections of videos.

Canon

Charlotte is the longest running and original character of the series, based off of the creator with whom she shares a name. Mia was introduced in 2024 as an antagonist, involved heavily with the Knight family, particularly Reece who she was in a relationship with and, later revealed, Roger who was using her for his own advantage.

Controversies

Mia's redemption arc and how the relationship developed

Mia, the redemption arc she received, and her relationship with Charlotte caused a division of opinion amongst fans of the series. Having regularly made Reece's life miserable, driven a wedge between Reece and Autumn, and enacted various cruel acts against children and staff members, Mia was revealed to have acted against Reece and Autumn under their father's instructions. In return, he promised her information about her own father. This became the pivotal point for her redemption arc to begin.

Some fans, particularly those who were hopeful for a romance between Mia and Charlotte, felt that the sad backstory was akin to either an explanation for her behaviour or a redemption arc, while others felt that while it meant they felt some sympathy for the character it far from redeemed her. Some expressed concern for how various fans were responding to Mia's story-line and how quickly some fans were to consider her exonerated for her previous actions.

Amazing how much my opinion of Mia has chanced from the first introduction to the last 2 episodes. I went from disliking her to actually feeling bad for her after understanding why she is the way she is ❤️

[Heather Horzs Stevens]

Suzy Murray I don’t know how anybody could think she’s redeemable. Like she purposely hurt a child just to pick a fight with a mother. She’s done horrendous things above and beyond what Roger even asked her to do. She is far too toxic. And the thought of her and Charlotte getting tangled up together is not a good.

I am so glad you are having the same thoughts as me. All those young teenage girls in the comments obsessing over Mia and crying because she was so "misunderstood"

I really hope Mia is just trying to manipulate and is lying. I don't want Char to get hurt, but if this ends in a sappy love story where Mia is suddenly nice, I'm going to be so disappointed.

I worry they're not seeing narcissism for what it is. And think that love can cure it.

Grace [2]

The fallout of Mia's arc, including her impact on Charlotte, led into a new arc centered on conflict between Charlotte and Marjorie, with fans of the series encouraging one another to side with "Team Marjorie" or "Team Char", leading to arguments between fans.

As Mia's redemption arc went on and the Mialotte relationship became canon, some fans pointed out there was a significant amount of rewriting of events in order to facilitate Mia's redemption. For example, her mistreatment of a staff member was recharacterised as that staff member being a danger to the children, which led to issues around the internal rules of the universe and when they had changed. In another run of events, the character of Reece was revealed to have exaggerated or even lied outright about how Mia had treated him, downplaying the previously established problems and antagonism within the relationship. Some fans were unhappy with how this played out while others felt it was internally consistent with the new story-lines.

Creator Response

As Charlotte previously indicated that Mia was not going to undergo a redemption arc, it is widely assumed within the fandom (though not explicitly confirmed by the creator) that the Mialotte relationship came about due to the fan response in the comments sections of her videos.
