Kara/Cat is a popular femslash of Kara Danvers (Supergirl) and Cat Grant of the television series Supergirl.
Fandom
Although the pairing Kara/Cat didn't quite appear before the pilot was released, it quickly gained momentum - surpassing the original three ships: Kara/James, Kara/Alex, and Kara/Winn and quickly became the juggernaut pairing[1].
During the season 1 hiatus in 2015, the first Supercat Week, a fiction challenge for Kara/Cat shippers took place. This challenge remains active, holding their fourth Supercat Week in October 2019
From season 2 onwards, Cat had a much reduced role on the show. She only appeared in four episodes of the second season. Possibly due to the lack of interaction, this ship's popularity was later surpassed by Kara/Lena[2].
It remains the third most popular pairing in the Supergirl (TV series) fandom, and the second most popular pairing for Kara[3] It has remained in the Top 20 Femslash pairings on Ao3 from 2016 - 2019.
