Carrie Hernandez was a prominent Phantom of the Opera fan in the 1980s and 1990s. She edited and published several Phantom fanzines, wrote essays, participated in fannish internet discussions and also published a collection of her own short stories, Angel of Music: Tales of the Phantom of the Opera.
Fan Reactions
For those who never got to see Hernandez in action, she was a very active and prominent fan in the community in decades gone by, and among other things edited and published fanzines, published her own Phantom short stories, and was a great voice of encouragement to new baby fans (myself included!). If you’re interested, give her work a look! [1]
