Candlemark is a unit of time (approximately an hour)[1] used in Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar fiction. It is also used in Xena fanfic, and in Pern fan fiction and roleplaying, although it is not a term used in Pern canon and there is debate about the use of candles in that fictional world.
