Calliope is the Greek Muse of epic poetry and eloquence, considered wisest of the nine Muses, and mother to Orpheus. In The Sandman, she was once married to Dream of the Endless. In the 2022 Netflix adaptation, she is portrayed by Melissanthi Mahut.
