"AbsintheShipping" was coined by Itsuki[1] sometime between 10 September[Notes 1] 31 October 2010[Notes 2] for the Neverending Romance ship name list. It's a play on Absinthe, a green spirit, which Grimsley might drink, with green being a color associated with Burgh.[Notes 3]
