Reagan Ridley is a technical genius, but struggles socially. Brett Hand is somewhat dim, but incredibly charismatic with a chronic need to please others. Brett is hired to fill in Reagan's weak spots as a boss, and while Reagan initially sees him as a rival, the two eventually become friends.
Fandom
The relationship between Reagan and Brett is an incredibly common theme in Inside Job fanworks. There is a considerable amount of content for them together, either just as friends or as a romantic pairing.
