Recs and Reviews

I’m a sucker for first-time stories, and I especially like the ones where the motivation is not just UST--I like characters who know what they want, why they want it, and make conscious decisions based on those wants. Yes, getting swept away by passion is great, but if you make the choice to dip your foot in the torrent, so much the better. In this one, Obi-Wan is suffering from the I-loff-my-Master blues, but thankfully doesn’t dwell on them for longer than a sentence or two. Instead, he decides to play a game the locals enjoy, a simple kissing game that quickly turns into something more serious, and perhaps more than he’s ready for. Torn between the option of continuing the game, or returning to his beloved Master’s side, Obi-Wan decides to love the one he’s with. Meanwhile, Qui-Gon has made his own decision ….[1]

This one is wickedly sweet -- so innocent, and yet so... not. Obi is sixteen, and this is a beautiful little coming of age fic.[2]
